Had a great time at Hillarys Shinsaibashi! Loved the awesome location-right by shopping and Dotonburi. The breakfast was tasty and super affordable, but the dining area felt a bit cramped. Solid stay and would definitely come back!

unpleasant cigarette smell

The hot bath on the top floors was relaxing.

The noise insulation was disappointing, as I could easily hear the thumping bass from nearby clubs and neighbors. Additionally, the non-smoking room still had a cigarette smell due to being on a smoking floor, which made my stay uncomfortable. Furthermore, I found the onsen to be overcrowded and the water disappointing as it was lukewarm at best.

The location is unbeatable, with easy access to both Dotonburi and Shinsaibashi. Staff kindness stood out, especially when I requested extra pillows, which arrived promptly. The bathing area was a highlight—clean and relaxing, accompanied by refreshing Yakult. However, there were some cleanliness issues in the dining area that could be improved, and noise from the street disrupted sleep at times. Additionally, the air conditioning was underwhelming.

Great location with clean rooms

I had a fantastic stay, especially enjoying the proximity to the Shinsaibashi-suji shopping district and Dotonbori. The cleanliness of the room was impressive, and after a busy day, the access to the rooftop bathhouse was a nice touch. However, the pillows were too soft for my liking, which affected my sleep a bit.
